A. No. You do not have to be an agent to list your property. There are advantages and disadvantages you must consider before listing your property with or without an agent.

Q. Does Rent.com.hk act like an agent by offering services to help rent out properties?
A. Yes, Rent.com.hk will help provide services to rent, lease, sell, or purchase your property. Rent.com.hk holds license in Hong Kong as well as partnerships in Hong Kong, HongKong.

Q. Can I sell my property on Rent.com.hk?

Q. Can I pay without using a credit card?
A. Yes. You can make a direct bank payment. Please make an enquiry about the bank account number and details.

   
       
     

EMAIL PROBLEMS

Q. How do I send emails without using Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, or the alike programs?
A. Rent.com.hk has incorporated a web based email system where you do not need any special programs to write emails. As long as you are logged on, you can use this web based email system to send emails. This is only for sending email and not receiving emails.

Q. When I post a rental property, can I change the email rather than use the email I used when registering?
A. Yes. You can change your email so that people who view your advertisement can respond to any email you provide.

Q. Can I change the email I entered when registering?
A. Yes. You can go to "Manage my account" and on the menu called "View & edit POSTED info", choose "registration info & change password". Here you can change your email address as well as other information you had entered when you first registered.

   
       
     

PASSWORD & LOGIN PROBLEMS

Q. How do I change my password?
A. You can change your password by going to "Manage my account" and on the menu called "View & edit POSTED info", choose "registration info & change password". Here you can change your password as well as other information you had entered when you first registered.

Q. What do I do if I forgot my password or username?
A. After you have clicked on "Login", click on "Forgot your username or password". This will bring you to a page where you enter your email address. Your username and password will be sent to this email address.

Q. What should I do if I have used a public computer to access my account and the computer seems to memorize my username and password.
A. Click on TOOLS in the menu of the browser. Then choose "INTERNET OPTIONS". Then choose "CONTENT" in the menu. Click on Auto Complete. Here you can choose the computer settings to keep or discard your settings such as your password. If you have any concern that your password might be known to other people, it is better to change it frequently.

Q. If I believe there is false information provided on the website, what should I do?
